WPTA Venue & Facilities
WPTA has been running its service in Wimbledon Park (hence the name!) for the last 8 years. Due to changes in management at the park our services have been forced to close and we are no longer allowed to run any coaching activities in Wimbledon Park due to the new rules set in place by Tennis In Merton. We are completely against this decision and have a petition of over 3000 local residents who are helping us to find a way back to working in the park at some point in the future.
In the meantime, all of our tennis activities are now run in partnership with Metrotennis at their Wimbledon venues at Southfields Tennis Club, The Gardens LTC, and The Southfields Academy. All 3 venues are very good and offer players a local and high quality place to learn to play tennis.
Metrotennis & WPTA - New Venues Now Open
Youn can find out all about Metrotennis via their website and clicking on the link below. Their tennis venues are very well established and offer players a chance to pay for termly lessons, or pay and play classes each week.
All venues have floodlights and suitable surfaces to play throughout the year. They are also very accessible to residents in the local Wimbledon Park area.
