Getting to Wimbledon Park



Wimbledon Park is located in SW19 within walking distance of the hallowed grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, home to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. It is a large park with a number of recreational facilities including café area, children’s play area and various sporting activities. The park offers easy access for residents of Southfields and Wimbledon and is only a 10 minute drive from Putney, Barnes and Wandsworth. The park is conveniently located within a 5 minute walk from Wimbledon Park tub station, and its north entrance is only a 5 minute walk from Southfields Tube station. There are also bus routes that come from Roehampton and Putney that drop passengers directly outside the All England Lawn Tennis Club Museum which is only a short walk from the entrance.

There is ample parking surrounding the park with access in 3 different locations. Parking is chargeable between the hours of 11am-3pm during the weekdays but is free at the weekends. Be prepared to look for a space early though as the park does get busy at peak times!

Finding Us: 

The easiest entrance to get to the tennis courts is via Home Park Road where there is parking all day. Parking is free of charge between 11am-3pm weekdays and free at weekends. 

The entrance to the park is located next to the Wimbledon Park Golf Course. When you arrive, the tennis courts are located adjacent to the boating lake or children play area.

Wimbledon Park Tennis Academy are usually running classes on courts 8-10 which are the first block of green astroturf courts as you walk down the path from Home Park Road.
